International Children Day creates opportunities to promote Israeli innovation in China. On June 1 this year, the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Business Development Foundation, joined forces with the Israeli embassy and Shanghai Consulate General to hold an inauguration ceremony for the “Wheelchairs of Hope” initiative; a sophisticated wheelchair that aims to help children with mobility impairments.

The Israeli Ambassador to China, Ms. Irit Ben-Abba Vitale, said that she hoped that this event would deepen the cooperation between the two countries and would open the door for more Israeli innovative projects in China.

The ceremony included a special auction where paintings donated by 3 artists were sold, in order to raise money for wheelchairs for paralyzed children in impoverished areas.

Arie Schreier, General Manager of PTL Group was one of the key sponsors of this important charity event. He presented some of the work of the talented young artist, Shalev Schreier (10 years old), who donated several of his paintings to the auction. The funds raised by Shalev’s artworks alone covered the purchase of 66 of the 300 wheelchairs funded by the event in total.

PTL Group’s mission is not only to support Israeli companies in China, but also to champion Israeli technologies and promote them where possible for the betterment of society as a whole.

October 2021 update:
